Amazing Grace was given me in moments of dismay,
when friends were scarce, and skies were gray, and hope had gone astray.
Grace scrubbed the slate of my soul clean and wiped away the tears,
and lit the darkness, so the road got safe, and smooth, and clear.
My heart was torn and pulled and strained and faltering from pain.
Grace caught it gently as it fell and brought it up again.
We couldn't bear the weight of sin, the disappointing fares,
if we were not wrapped up in Grace to keep us from despair.
The darkest pit is heaven found when love can reach you there.
If Grace can find you in the mire, you're blessed everywhere.
I wasn't, then He brought me forth, then I'll go home to rest. Music background - Radiant Grace by Moments
